9.5 The Conveyor module

The motor controller used permits clockwise/counterclockwise rotation, inching operation and speed
control.
The presence of workpieces at the start and end of the conveyor is verified by optical proximity sensors with
fiber-optic cables.
Positioning of the workpieces in the middle of the belt is performed by two fork light barriers. With the help
of the time sequence of the signal states of the fork light barriers, it is possible to distinguish between MPS
cartons and MPS workpieces.

Switch off both the operating power and the control power before working on
the circuit.
Only reach into the setup when it is at a complete standstill.
Be aware of potential overtravel times for the actuators.

WARNING
The Conveyor module can be mounted on a profile
plate, a profile foot or a slotted mounting plate.
The Conveyor module is suitable for transporting,
buffering and separating workpieces with a
diameter of 40 mm (e. g. workpiece set "Cylinder
bodies" or "For cylinder assembly").
The conveyor belt is driven by a freely positionable
DC gear motor.
