Piston
1- Check piston for scorings or signs of overheating.
2- Check the piston head, ring lands, and skirt for signs of fatigue
such as fine cracks in the head lands, or around piston pin boss.
If any unusual is found, replace the piston.
Piston Ring Gap
1- Insert the piston ring into the lower part of the liner (least
wornout part) with piston ring guide and piston.
2- Measure the ring gap with a feeler gauge. If the gap exceeds
the allowable limit, replace the piston ring.
