Put the bar into the H-bracket openings. Make sure that the bar is
level by verifying that each end of the bar is installed into the H-
bracket at the same numbered hole location.

Make sure the drop lock on each end of the bar moves to the side
to hold the bar in position.
d.
Pull the traction rope from the bowtie down and underneath the
bar.
NOTE:
The bar has an indentation to help keep the rope in position during
cervical traction.
WARNING:
The maximum weight load for the traction assembly is 22.6
kg (50 lbs). To exceed this weight could cause patient fall,
injury, or equipment damage.
WARNING:
Make sure the traction weight is in a safe position, free from
possible unintended movement. To do so could cause
patient fall, injury, or equipment damage.
WARNING:
Do not press the Cervical Traction Release button while
traction weight is being applied. To do so could cause the
assembly to retract and the traction weight to move. Patient
fall, injury, or equipment damage could occur.
Use traction weight per facility protocols. Make sure that—
The traction weight is in a safe position such that it is free from
possible unintended movement.
The traction rope stays in the indented section of the cervical
traction bar.
You do not press the Cervical Traction Release button while
traction weight is being applied.
NOTE:
The cervical traction bar is an optional accessory that is supplied to
help with the angle of pull for the cervical traction. If used, install the
bar at the applicable location on the H-bracket.
After use of the traction weight, remove the weight and the rope from
the assembly.
