NOTE: Avoid keeping the cake warm within the bread maker. Switch off the bread maker as soon
as the baking cycle is complete and the series of 10 beeps sounds. Leave the cake cool down for
approx. ¼ hour with the lid closed and the slider of the ingredients box open. Thereafter, take the
bread pan out of the appliance and leave the cake cool down within the bread pan for another
¼ hour. This way, you prevent that the cake will collapse. Turn out the cake onto a cake rack and
leave it cool down completely, before covering it with icing or chocolate or filling it.
POUND CAKE
Ingredients:
3 eggs (lightly beaten)
170 g Unsalted butter (softened)
200 g Granulated sugar
240 g Plain flour
Preparation:
Add the butter & eggs into a large mixing bowl. Mix together and then add the rest of the ingre-
dients. Stir ingredients until fully mixed. Apart from the confectioners sugar, pour the premixed
batter into the bread pan. Start program 8 Cake. With the baking cycle complete, switch off the
appliance (pressing the CANCEL button) and leave the cake within the appliance for approx. ¼
hour with the lid closed and the slider of the ingredients box open.
Take out the bread pan and leave the cake cool down for another ¼ hour within the bread pan.
Turn out the cake onto a cake rack and leave it cool down completely.
Optional: After the cake has cooled, sprinkle some powdered confectioners sugar on the top of
the cake.
CHOCOLATE CAKE
Ingredients:
2 Eggs (lightly beaten)
230 ml Milk
170 g Unsalted butter (softened)
10 ml Vanilla extract
200 g Light brown sugar
240 g Plain flour
Preparation:
Add milk, butter, vanilla extract & eggs into a large mixing bowl. Mix together and then add
dry ingredients. Stir ingredients until fully mixed. Apart from the whipped chocolate frosting,
pour the premixed batter into the bread pan. Start program 8 Cake. When the baking cycle is
complete, switch off the appliance (pressing the CANCEL button) and leave the cake within the
appliance for approx. ¼ hour with the lid closed and the slider of the ingredients box open.
Take out the bread pan and leave the cake cool down for another ¼ hour within the bread pan.
Turn out the cake onto a cake rack and leave it cool down completely.
Optional (but recommended) – Add chocolate frosting to the top of your cake.
CAKES
2.5 g Salt
10 g Vanilla extract
15 g Baking powder
Glaze: 12 g Confectioners sugar (optional)
42 g Cocoa powder natural unsweetened
2.5 g Salt
5 g Baking powder
5 g Baking soda
Glaze: Whipped chocolate frosting (optional)
