PELIGRO
Controle periódicamente la presión de hinchado de
los neumáticos a temperatura ambiente, véase
pág. 15 (FICHA TECNICA).
Si los neumáticos están calientes, la medición no es
correcta.
Mida la presión de hinchado sobre todo antes y des-
pués de cada largo viaje.
Si la presión del hinchado es demasiado alta, las irre-
gularidades del terreno no llegan a amortiguarse y se
transmiten al manillar, comprometiendo por lo tanto
el confort de marcha y reduciendo también la adhe-
rencia a la carretera en curva.
Si, al revés, la presión del hinchado es insuficiente,
los flancos de los neumáticos trabajan excesivamen-
te y podría producirse el deslizamiento de la goma so-
bre la llanta, o su despegue con consiguiente pérdida
de control del vehículo.
En caso de frenazos abruptos, los neumáticos po-
drían salirse de las llantas. En las curvas, además, el
vehículo podría perder adherencia.
Controle las condiciones de las superficies y del des-
gaste, porque una mala condición de los neumáticos
puede comprometer su adherencia a la carretera y la
maniobrabilidad del vehículo.
Sustituya el neumático si está desgastado o si un
eventual pinchazo en la zona de la banda de rodadura
resulta más ancho de 5 mm.
Tras haber reparado un neumático, ejecute el equili-
brado de las ruedas. Utilice exclusivamente neumáti-
cos según las medidas indicadas por la empresa,
véase pág. 15 (FICHA TECNICA).
Controle que las válvulas de hinchado estén siempre
equipadas con taponcitos para evitar un repentino des-
hinchamiento de los neumáticos.

Periodically check the tyre inflation pressure at room

If the tyres are hot, the measurement is not correct.
Carry out the measurement especially before and af-
ter long rides.
If the inflation pressure is too high, the ground une-
venness cannot be dampened and is therefore trans-
mitted to the handlebar, thus compromising the driv-
ing comfort and reducing the road holding during
turns.
If, on the contrary, the inflation pressure is too low,
the tyre sides are under greater stress and the tyre it-
self may slip on the rim or it may become loose, with
consequent loss of control of the vehicle.
In case of sudden braking the tyres could even get out
of the rims. Further, the vehicle could skid while turn-
ing.
Check the surface and the wear of the tyres, since
tyres in bad conditions can impair both the grip and
the controllability of the vehicle.
Change the tyre when it is worn out or in case of punc-
ture on the tread side, if the puncture is larger than 5
mm.
After repairing a tyre, have the wheels balanced. Use
only tyres in the size suggested by aprilia, see p. 15
(TECHNICAL DATA).
Make sure that the tyres always have their valve seal-
ing caps on, to prevent them from suddenly going flat.
