To replace the batteries in the BP Monitor :

Note
Check with your local authorities on the best way to recycle or throw
away batteries.

Notes
To keep the batteries from popping out, insert the bottom row first.
Make sure that the battery terminals are touching the compartment
terminals.
Replace the batteries in the Blood Pressure Monitor every 3
months or sooner if required. The expected battery life for the BP
Monitor is approximately 3 months with 1 daily reading.
Replace the batteries in the BP Monitor when you see the Low
Battery symbol on the BP Monitor display.
The Blood Pressure Monitor uses 4 AA alkaline batteries.
Turn the display over.
Gently push the Battery Compartment cover in the direction of
the arrow symbol and lift it off.
Remove the old batteries and throw them away.
Place the new batteries in the Battery Compartment so that the
positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagram in the
compartment. Diagrams for both the M3815A and M3815B units
are shown following.
