1 GENERAL INFORMATION & SERVICE
1.1

General Description

The K-SYSTEMS
a warmed stainless steel table plate and the table plate maintains a temperature in the range 35-43°C.
The L124/L126 is heated by means of an electronically controlled heating system.
The vertical laminar airfl ow passes through a HEPA main fi lter and protects the cell culture against
airborne particulate contamination.

Intended Purpose

To reduce Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Chemical Air Contaminants (CACs) and other particulate
contaminates from air circulating in a laminar fl ow hood where Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)
procedures are conducted".
1.3

Operating Principles and Features

The workstation provides a confi ned workspace in which the stable vertical unidirectional fl ow (laminar
fl ow) protects the product that is being handled against particulate contamination from the surroundings
and the operator.
All operations take place through the front opening. Pressure in the work chamber keeps the clean air
fl owing from the work chamber to the surroundings, avoiding the introduction of particulate contamination
to the work chamber.
