12.1.3 Three Month Maintenance

The pre-fi lters should be checked at regular intervals.

12.1.4 Annual Maintenance

Reliable operation of the workstation is based on the following conditions:
• Correct air velocities
• Effi ciency of installed HEPA fi lter
These parameters should be tested by a qualifi ed technician after approximately 17,000 hours of
operation or at least once a year by a qualifi ed technician.
Testing of air velocities involves measurements of the air velocity in the vertical unidirectional fl ow.

Testing of the effi ciency of the installed HEPA fi lters. By means of special measuring equipment – particle
counter or photometer–the eff ectiveness of the HEPA fi lter is tested. (See enclosed test report).
12.2 Specifi c Service Operations
12.2.1 Replacing the Pre-fi lter
Every three months change the pre-fi lters.
