4. Attach the throttle lever to the additional holder or with the throttle
lever clamp directly to the original cable(see
5. Attach the rotating bolt or the cable wire clamp to the throttle control
or cable as shown in the illustration for your type of vehicle
(see
C 2 to E 3). Push the interior cable of the MS-50 throttle-lever
trough the bolt or the cable wire clamp. Attach the stopper on the
throttle lever and push it close to the bolt or the cable-wire clamp.
Ensure that the carburator or injection pump is in the idle position
(when the engine is warm). Now finally fix the stopper.
6. Fully depress the accelerator and ensure that the throttle lever cannot
become caught on anything. Operate the control lever of the throttle or
diesel pump by hand so that the throttle lever is loose, and check with
the other hand whether the wire might become caught on anything. If
this is the case, the throttle lever must be relocated.
7. The interior cable wire of the MS 50 must slip through the bolt or the
cable wire clamp. The bolt must be able to rotate, to ensure an safe
slip-through.
CAUTION!
The cruise control has been designed with
numerous safety features in order to guarantee
safe and reliable functioning of the electronic
components. However, none of these safety
features can prevent the engine from suddenly
speeding up out of control if this is due to the
throttle linkage getting stuck. So carry out several
careful checks
WARNING!
Make sure that all disconnected cables and hoses
are reconnected as otherwise the engine may be
damaged or excessive exhaust values may occur.
