5.23.2 Removing the left-hand sill panel trim, A3
Saloon
– Expose the sill panel trim near the door seal.
– Unclip the sill panel trim -2- from the side member using the
removal wedge -3409-, starting at the front -arrow A-.
– Release the locking lug on the sill panel trim from the B-pillar
trim -arrow B- using wedge -T10383/1-.
– Unclip the rear sill panel trim from the side member using
the removal wedge -3409- -arrow C-.
– Open tab -1- on the sill panel trim, thread the belt webbing
out and detach the sill panel trim.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:

◆ If the clips for the trim remain in the mounting points in the
body, remove these clips and insert into the trim.
◆ Check the clips for damage or deformation and replace as
necessary.
5.23.3 Removing the left-hand sill panel trim, A3
Cabriolet
– Expose the sill panel trim near the door seal.
– Starting from the rear, unclip the front sill panel trim -1- from
the side member -arrows- using the wedge -T10383-.
