– Screw out bolts -2- and -3-.
– Unclip the dash panel cover -1- with a downwards motion
and remove.
– Detach the electrical connectors.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:
– Connect the electrical connectors.
Tightening torque: 3 Nm
5.19 Removing control unit 1 for information
electronics -J794-, right-hand drive ve-
hicles
– Open the glove compartment.
– Insert the two clips from the release tool for the radio
-T10057- into the release slot on the control unit for informa-
tion electronics 1 -J794- -1- until they engage. The tips on
the gripping eyes should face upwards.
– Pull control unit for information electronics 1 -J794- -1- out of
the dash panel using the gripping eyes from the release tool
for the radio -T10057-.
– Release and disconnect the electrical connectors on the
control unit for information electronics 1 -J794- -1-.
– Connect the protective cap for wiring harness connector
-VAS 6223/9- -1- to the MOST bus connector -2-.
– Pull out the release tool for the radio -T10057-. To do this,
press the locking tabs on the control unit for information
electronics 1 -J794-.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:
– Connect all connectors.
– Push the control unit for information electronics 1 -J794- into
the glove compartment until it engages.
