– Push the belt height adjuster -2- down as far as it will go.
– Disengage the B-pillar trim -1- from below, starting at the
door seal -arrow A- by using the removal wedge -3409- on
the front edge of the trim.
– Unclip the B-pillar trim from the side trim -arrows B-. To do
this, position the removal wedge -3409- on the lower edge of
the trim.
– Remove the B-pillar trim from the B-pillar.
– Pull the B-pillar trim out of the fixture on the body -arrow C-.
To do this, swivel the trim inwards while pulling it down-
wards.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:
WARNING
◆ Observe the relevant safety regulations
◆ Do not connect the curtain airbag when installing the
B-pillar trim.
Note
Make sure that the seat belt height adjuster is in the lowest po-
sition.
– First insert the B-pillar trim -3- upwards into the fixture on the
roof.
● Fixture -2- for the sliding part on the B-pillar trim must en-
gage in retaining pins -1- on the seat belt height adjuster -
arrow-.
