tector control unit -J345-, A3, A3 Sportback
In vehicles without the preparation for towing bracket, the trailer
detector control unit -J345-must be installed.
Preparatory work
◆ Battery has been disconnected
◆ Left-hand luggage compartment side trim has been removed

◆ Control unit bracket has been fitted
– Trailer detector control unit -J345- -2- has been slotted into
the bracket -1- -arrow-.
The trailer detector control unit -J345- -2- engages in the brack-
et -1-.
Notes on further installation
WARNING
DO NOT connect the battery!
The battery is reconnected ONCE ALL WORK HAS BEEN
COMPLETED.
6.2.2 Installing the control unit for the trailer rec-
ognition control unit -J345-, A3 Saloon
The trailer detector control unit -J345-must be installed in vehi-
cles with the preparation for the towing attachment.
Preparatory work
◆ Battery has been disconnected
◆ Left-hand luggage compartment side trim has been removed
