Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:

◆ If the clips for the trim remain in the mounting points in the
body, remove these clips and insert into the trim.
◆ Check the clips for damage or deformation and replace as
necessary.
5.27 Removing the front left-hand belt end
anchor, A3 Cabriolet
– Remove the left-hand sill panel trim
– Move the front seat into front, highest position.
– Prise off cap -1- using the removal wedge -3409- -arrow A-,
disengage the belt end anchor -arrow B- and remove.
– Screw out bolts -1- and -3-.
– Remove the belt end anchor -4- with bolt and stop sleeve.
– Take out the belt end anchor from the belt guide -2-.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:
Tightening torque for the screw -1-: 20 Nm
Tightening torque for the screw -3-: 40 Nm
5.28 Removing the front of the back panel
trim, A3 Cabriolet
– Move the convertible roof and convertible roof compartment
lid into the service position
– Fold the rear seat backrest forward.
– Remove the expanding clips -1- and -3- using the removal
lever -80 - 200-.
– Disengage tabs -4- of the front of the back panel trim.
– Unclip the front of the back panel trim -2- from the fasteners
-arrows- using the removal lever -80 - 200-.
– Disengage the front of the back panel trim at the rear of the
back panel trim and remove upwards.
