Removing the rear shelf, A3, A3 Sport-
back
– Pull the rear shelf -1- upwards -arrow- and remove it.
Notes on installation
– Insert the left and right of the shelf into the mounts in the lug-
gage compartment side trim and push the shelf forward.

Removing the rear cross panel trim
– Pull off the rear lid seal -2- in the area of the rear cross panel
trim.
– Using the removal lever -80 - 200-, unclip the rear cross
panel trim -3- vertically using an upward motion -arrows- and
remove it.
Note
Relatively substantial force is required to unclip the rear cross
panel trim from the rear cross panel.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:
– Insert the rear cross panel trim such that it catches on the
left and right in the luggage compartment side trim and the
tabs engage in the pins -1- and -4-.
– Pull the rear lid seal over the rear cross panel trim.

Removing the left-hand luggage com-
partment light
Note
Equipment variant. Not installed in all vehicles.
– Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, push in the locking lug -1-
and prise out the luggage compartment light.
– Detach the electrical connector -3-.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:
– Connect the electrical connector.
– Insert the luggage compartment light into the opening and
engage on the opposite side.
