A "soft-cover bag" is installed in the A3.
Please be especially careful when working in the footwell
area!
Observe the relevant safety regulations
– Observe the relevant safety regulations
– Disconnect the battery
– Remove the dash panel cover on the driver side
– Unscrew the screws -arrows- and place the knee airbag -1-
to one side.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:

After completing the work, read out the airbag control
unit fault memory.
