5.10 Removing and installing the lashing
eye, A3 Saloon, A3 Cabriolet
– Fold out bracket -4- and cover -1- using a screwdriver.
– Unscrew screw -3- and remove lashing eye -2-.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:
Tightening torque for screw -3-:

– Fold the rear seat backrest forward.
– Remove tool box using the vehicle tool kit.
– Unclip upper support -2- and remove by pulling the support
inwards -arrow-.
– Unscrew screw -1- and nut -4-.
– Disengage lower support -3- and remove.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:
Tightening torque for screw -1- and nut -4-: 4 Nm
