5.15.3 Removing the left-hand luggage compart-
ment side trim, A3 Cabriolet
Removing
– Move the convertible roof and convertible roof compartment
lid into the service position
– Unclip retaining clip -2- for the convertible roof compartment
tray on locking lugs -1- along the luggage compartment side
trim.
– Close the convertible roof and convertible roof compartment
lid.
– Remove the luggage compartment floor mat
– Remove the rear cross panel trim
– Remove the front luggage compartment trim
– Remove the lashing eyes
– If fitted, remove the left-hand luggage compartment light

– Pull lever -1- and release the rear seat backrest.
– Pull and hold the lever and remove bolt -2-.
– Lift out the backrest release mechanism -arrow- and allow to
hang with the Bowden cable attached.
– Remove the expanding clips -3- using the removal lever
-80 - 200-.
– Remove the rear lid seal -1- in the area of the luggage com-
partment side trim.
– Pull the rear and lower luggage compartment side trim -2- in-
wards -arrows-.
– Disengage the luggage compartment side trim on the con-
vertible roof storage compartment.
– Pull the luggage compartment side trim inwards, disconnect
any electrical connectors and remove the luggage compart-
ment side trim.
Notes on installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Please note the fol-
lowing points:
