(A) Starting up the electrical system
Turn the ignition key 1 to pos. "I" to power the electrical system.
In the "BYTE 531 T, 612 T versions", turn key 1 to display the following three pages
in sequence:
1st screen: "RCM logotype".
2nd screen: "BYTE II" machine model - Software version - Battery installed
(Lead or Gel)
3rd screen: Total and partial hour counter, battery status, set speed level.
(B) Brush rotation
Push button 2 marked with the "brush" symbol and located on the control panel
to:
Enable the rotation of the brush and the solenoid valve 31 fi g. 1 (if provi-
ded) to send water to the brush.
Press lever 5 to enable this function.
(C) - Open and set the amount of the cleaning solution on the
brush.
Lift lever 3 to dose the quantity of cleaning solution.
Move the lever to adjust the amount of detergent solution required to wet the
fl oor. Keep in mind that the amount of cleaning solution varies according to the
fl oor type and the machine drive speed, hence do not wet beyond the width of
the brush.
(D) Enabling suction
Push button 4 marked with the "fan" symbol and located on the control panel to:
Activate the suction motor.
Press lever 5 to enable this function.
(E) Lowering/raising the squeegee
Lower lever 6 to move the squeegee down, lift the lever to raise it.
(F) Adjusting the parallel position of the brushes and the
machine push (or brush traction)

CAUTION!
THIS ADJUSTMENT HAS ALREADY BEEN SET BY THE MANUFACTURER
OF THE SCRUBBER-DRYER.
Should this adjustment be required, proceed as follows:
In "machines with and without drive system", loosen adjustment 27a
(fi g.1) to adjust the parallel position of the brushes on the fl oor.
In "machines without drive system" the machine push (or brush traction)
can be adjusted through 27b (fi g.1) moving it up or down to decrease
or increase it.
Perform the above operations and tighten 27a-27b adjustments.
(G) Machine forward drive
For "machines with drive system", use levers 5 to enable the forward mo-
vement. The brush must be rotating (point B) and lowered to the fl oor.
(H) Braking
Push button 2 to stop the brush rotation.
Lower the brush to keep the machine braked and parked on the fl oor.
