Selezionata la modalità desiderata ( "trk" o "car"), premere il
tasto .
La S 690 si predispone automaticamente per l'inserimento del
valore della larghezza della ruota (led 6, Fig.C acceso) : sul
display sinistro (1, Fig.C) appare infatti la scritta "Lr", mentre su
quello destro (4, Fig.C) appare un "valore standard" (in pollici).
Misurare la larghezza del cerchione con l'ausilio dell'apposito
rilevatore a compasso (vedi Fig.D), e utilizzando il tasto
il tasto aumentare o diminuire il valore fino a raggiungere
la dimensione rilevata.
N.B.: Ad ogni pressione dei suddetti tasti la dimensione varia, in
più o in meno, di mezzo pollice in modalità car; e di 2-3 decimi
di pollice (,2-,5-,7-,0) in modalità "trk".

Tenendo premuto in modo continuo si avrà una variazione ra-
pida dei valori.
Premere di nuovo il tasto
all'inserimento del dato relativo al diametro (led 5, Fig.C acce-
so).
Sul display sinistro (1, Fig.C) appare ora la scritta "di" mentre su
quello destro (4, Fig.C) appare un "valore standard" (in pollici).
Leggere il valore del diametro generalmente stampigliato sul
pneumatico.
Agendo sul tasto o sul tasto
preimpostato fino a raggiungere il valore desiderato (ad ogni
pressione del tasto si ha una variazione di mezzo pollice).
NOTA: I valori della larghezza e del diametro possono essere

espressi anche in millimetri.
All'accensione l'S 690 è predisposta per accettare valori in
pollici; se però, si desidera inserire una o più dimensioni in mil-
limetri é sufficiente premere, prima di inserire il dato in questio-
ne, il tasto .
Il led inch (8, Fig.C) si spegne e contemporaneamente si ac-
cende il led mm (9, Fig.C) indicante che il valore dovrà essere
espresso con questa unità di misura.
Ad ogni pressione del tasto
automatica tra le due scale.
Premendo di nuovo il tasto
serimento della distanza (led 7, Fig.C. acceso) e sul display sini-
stro appare la scritta "d".
Portare il rilevatore di posizione (11 Fig. E) contro il bordo più
esterno del fianco interno del cerchione; leggere sulla scala
