2.2 Refrigerant

The appliance contains fluorinated greenhouse gases
covered by the Kyoto Protocol in the quantities indi-
cated on the serial plate.
The type of refrigerant gas present in the refrigerant
circuit of the appliance is shown on the serial plate
The GWP (global warming potential) of the HFC R134a
gas is 1430 and of the HFC R404A gas it is 3922.
The system is hermetically sealed:
The CO 2 equivalent data is shown on the serial plate

According to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008,
R134a and R404A gases are non-flamma-
ble and non-toxic. In high concentrations
they can be asphyxiating. Contact with
liquid may cause burns and frostbite.
In the system the gas is pressurised; it
may explode if heated.
