Safety requirements for operation
- Prohibit all unauthorized access.
- The electric pump is an automatic device. You are recommended to take maximum care because the
motor could start up unexpectedly, without warning.
- Do not remove the safety devices. Do not remove the original protections on exposed rotating parts,
hot surfaces, air intakes, belts and live electrical components. Do not leave any disassembled
components on the motor or in its vicinity; do not leave any tools or other parts not belonging to the
system in the same room or near the set.
- Always wear protective gloves when working.
- Always wear a hard hat, protective glasses and safety footwear in the work area.
- Always wear ear protection to avoid damage to your hearing, especially when spending long periods
near the running machine.
- Never wear loose-fitting clothes, rings and/or necklaces when working near motors or moving parts.
- Risk of fire. Never leave flammable liquids or rags soaked with flammable liquids near the set or near
electrical equipment (including lamps) or parts of an electrical system.
- Do not leave rags on the motor.
- Do not attempt to make repairs you are not familiar with. Always follow the instructions and, if these
ATTENTION
are not available, contact the supplier or a qualified technician.
- Risk of electrical current. Never touch the machine or, in particular, the cables and moving parts of the
motor. Periodically check that the cables are securely fastened.

OVERVIEW

The GEM and GEM.J. fire-fighting booster sets with electric pumps are designed to transfer and boost water pressure in fixed
fire-fighting installations and automatic sprinkler systems, in compliance with the EN12845 fire-fighting standards in force.

pressure.
According to NPSH curve and flow resistance; level should be raised by a safety margin of
at least 0.5 metres if water contains air.
The inlet pressure plus the pressure supplied by the pump against the closed valve must
always be lower than the maximum operating pressure.
Do not exceed the number of starts per hour recommended in the electric pump
specifications.
