7.2 Suction kit
The EN 12845 fire-fighting pressure modules are supplied without valves and stubs on the suction side of the service pump;
they can be completed with suitable kits according to the requirements of the standard.
These are the requirements of the EN 12845 Standard (chapter 10.5 and chapter 10.6).
There are two types of kit which differ according to the type of system installation:
- kit suitable for suction lift installations (negative head installation)
- kit suitable for positive suction head installations
Install a suction side kit for each service pump.
The kit includes:
- Eccentric cone (E) or flanged bolt.
Vacuum pressure gauge (C) with relative 1/4" shut-off valve.

- Welding flange (D)
The kit doesn't include:
- Anti-vibration joint (B) to attach to the pump inlet (A). It is mandatory in the case of diesel engine pump (GEMK..), optional in
case of module with electric pump. Available as accessory.
- On/off butterfly valve (F) with lever handle for diameters up to DN100, butterfly valve with handwheel and reducer for DN125
and higher. Valve is mandatory in case of positive installation and it is optionale in case of negative head installation.
Available as accessory.
- Device for monitoring ON/OFF status of gate valve. Assembly and Electrical connections by customer. Available as
accessory.
- On/off valve lock kit. Available as accessory.
