Problem
No liquid flows out from
the insert or air-polishing
handpiece during operation

Possible Cause
Appliance not connected to
the water circuit
The insert is the "Dry Work"
type without a liquid passage
The insert is clogged
The quick coupling on the
air-polishing handpiece cord
is clogged
Irrigation is disabled
The water tap on the
appliance is closed
Water filter clogged
The liquid tank is empty
The tank is not properly
installed
The silicone tubes of the
pump are not correctly
installed
The peristaltic pump is worn
Solution
Check the connection to the
water circuit (See Chapter 4.3
on page 18).
Use an insert type with a
liquid passage
Unscrew the insert/air-
polishing handpiece from
the handpiece and free the
water passage of the insert/
air-polishing handpiece by
blowing compressed air
through it.
If the problem persists,
replace the insert/air-
polishing handpiece with a
new one.
Contact an Authorised
Mectron Service Centre
Activate irrigation and adjust
the irrigation level (See
Chapter 5.2.1 on page 24).
Regulate the flow of water
using the knob dedicated to
the function used.

Fill the tank
Properly connect the tank to
the machine core unit
Check the tube connections
(see Chapter 9.1 on page
98).
Replace the peristaltic pump
(See Chapter 9.1 on page
98 )
