2 SAFETY REGULATIONS
The machine, if used well, is a quick, easy to use and effective work tool. If used incorrectly or
without proper precautionary measures, it could become a dangerous tool. To ensure that your
work is always pleasant and safe, strictly observe the safety rules set out below and throughout the
manual.
DANGER
The ignition system of the machine produces an electromagnetic field of extremely low
intensity. This field can interfere with some pacemakers. To reduce the risk of serious injury or
death, people with pacemakers should seek medical advice and consult with the pacemaker
manufacturer before using this machine.
WARNING
RISK OF DAMAGE TO HEARING: under normal conditions of use, the machine may result in a
personal and daily level of exposure to noise equal to or greater than exceeding 85 dB (A).
WARNING
Exposure to vibrations caused by prolonged use of instruments powered by internal
combustion engines can cause injury to the blood vessels or nerves of the fingers, hands and
wrists in people subject to circulatory disorders or abnormal swelling. Prolonged use in low
temperature conditions has been associated with blood vessel damage in otherwise healthy
individuals. If symptoms such as numbness, pain, loss of strength, changes in the colour
or texture of the skin or loss of touch in the fingers, hands or wrists occur, stop using the
machine and seek medical advice.
NOTE
National regulations may impose limits on machine use.
• Do not use the machine unless you have been trained on the how to use it. Inexperienced
operators must have been given practical training on machine use.
• The machine must only be used by adults, in good physical condition and familiar with the rules of use.
• Do not use the machine if you are in a condition of physical fatigue or under the influence of alcohol,
drugs or medications.
• Wear suitable clothing and safety devices such as boots, tear-resistant trousers, gloves, protective
goggles, ear defenders and a safety helmet.
