d. Remove four (4) Phillips screws (noted
in red in Fig. 9). Then, remove two (2)
halves of top carriage cover (Fig. 10).
e. Turn circuit breaker ON, then carriage
keyswitch.
f. (left-hand installation): Connect 3-pin
and 6-pin jumpers.
(right-hand installation): Connect
3-pin, 6 pin and 12-pin jumpers
g. Using remote, power carriage onto gear
rack approximately 6" (15 cm).
If you power the carriage onto
rail too far, you won't have easy
access to hardware on back of
carriage for angle adjustment.
1. Mount footrest to carriage.
a. Remove two (2) hex head bolts from
front of carriage (Figs. 1 and 2).
b. Secure footrest to carriage using two
(2) hex head bolts.
Torque to 50 ft-lb (68 Nm).
c. Insert pin in gas spring (Fig. 3).
d. Fold footrest to approximately 45°.
e. Rotating tool downward, gently push
pin into notches on gas shock bracket
(Fig. 4 and 5).
f. Remove pin insertion tool and set aside.
2. Level footrest.
a. Move carriage to top of rail.
b. Lower footrest.
c. Place a level on footrest pan.
3. Adjust carriage angle:
a. Loosen (but do not remove)*
four (4) bolts circled in red (Fig. 6).
NOTE: For some installations, you
WILL remove (and reinstall) two (2)
top bolts. See Carriage Adjustment
section at back of manual.
b. Rotate carriage to correct angle.
c. Tighten four (4) previously-loosened
bolts to a torque of 50 ft-lb (68 Nm).
4. Reinstall carriage covers (removed in
Step 1) before installing seat.
