OVERSPEED FOR SRE-2010C & SRE-2010OS INSTALLATIONS

The overspeed is a safety device designed
to prevent operation of stairlift if descending
travel speed becomes excessive.
When overspeed switch is tripped, wheel will not
be in the center of notch (valley). See Fig. 1.
You must reset the overspeed switch to
allow unit to operate (Fig. 2).

Reset Overspeed Switch
1. Remove access cap from motor side (Fig. 3).
2. Using a 5/16 socket tool, turn gear motor
clockwise to move carriage UP. Continue
turning until unit moves freely (Fig. 4).

The overspeed switch should
automatically reset.
3. Check for damage to drive system.
4. If drive system is not damaged, use rocker
switch to drive carriage off rail for a more
complete inspection.
If Switch Does Not Reset
1. Remove two (2) front covers.
2. Remove seat.

3. Remove footrest.
4. Remove drive cover.
5. Turn cam ring so switch roller is centered in
cam valley.
6. Remove and inspect both drive system and
carriage.
7. If possible, repair as needed and reassemble.

Otherwise, return for factory service.
