Pair
Under Setup card header -> Select Communications card -> Select Pair button from menu bar
Press the Pair interactive menu button, available on SC controller, to initiate the pairing mode to a QPM
Cordless Tool. If there are unsaved changes, the changes must be saved before you can put the controller in
pair mode.
The "Pair" button will switch the access point to a pairing SSID while the SC controller is in pairing mode.
To pair a QPM Cordless Tool, start with the tool powered off by removing and reinstalling the battery pack. Next,
Wake the QPM Cordless Tool into pairing mode by pressing and holding the MFB and then tapping the start
trigger switch. Wait for the tone before releasing the MFB. The QPM Cordless Tool will search for the wireless
capable SC controller and request to be added as a trailing spindle by flashing, the status lights in sequence.
Accept the QPM Cordless Tool as a trailing spindle in the notification window that appears on the wireless
capable SC Controller. The cordless tool will disconnect from the pairing network, then reconnect on the
controller network to complete pairing. Once the QPM cordless tool will reconnected, then the paring is done.
"See Chapter Connection [} 112]" to see how to accept the spindle as a trailing device.
