Mac ID
Sets the SC controller's node number on the DeviceNet network.
The Fieldbus Configurable SC controllers automatically detects the type of communications controlled by the
device in the connected network.
The SC controller has no default I/O mapped on the DeviceNet bus. The I/O must be assigned before an EDS
file can be obtained. "Faults" to assign and configure the DeviceNet I/O.
EDS Button
Under Setup Card Header -> Select DeviceNet Card -> Select EDS button
Connect a USB memory stick to the USB port on the bottom of the SC controller.
Open the device net menu. Click on the EDS button to export the EDS file to the memory stick. Use this
controller generated EDS file in the PLC to which the SC controller is connected.
If the DeviceNet I/O map is changed, a new EDS file must be generated.
Save the changes.

Ethernet/IP
Under Setup card header -> Select Ethernet/IP Card
This tab appears on the SC controllers only when the Ethernet/IP option is installed and sets the
communications parameters for the SC controller on an Ethernet/IP network.
Ethernet/IP:
This information is required when connecting the SC controller to an Ethernet/IP network using the Ethernet/IP
port.
● Obtain IP from Network
Enable allows the Ethernet/IP board to receive an address from the network DHCP server. disable requires
the address parameters to be filled in manually.
● IP Address
The IP Address of the Ethernet/IP port.
● Subnet Mask
The Subnet address of the Alpha controller.
● Gateway
The Gateway address to a connecting network. This value is required. If there is no actual gateway, then
type in the controller's IP Address.
● DNS
The address of the network's DNS server.
● Physical
This is the MAC id of the Ethernet/IP port on the Alpha controller. This value comes from the Ethernet/IP
board inside and cannot be changed.
