Never turn the camshaft
during its fitting in order to
prevent damages or incorrect
timing of the valves.
• Hold the camshaft and tighten the
bolts at the same time.
• Remove the metal wire from the
timing chain.
Fit:
• Breather plate (1 - F. 38).
• Plain washer (2).
• Timing chain tightener (3).
Fitting operation:
• Remove the bolt of the tightening plug
(1 - F. 39) and the springs (2).
• Release the unidirectional cam (3 -
F. 40) of the timing chain tightener
and insert the tightener rod (4 - F.
40) to the end.
• Fit the tightener, with a new gasket
(5 - F. 40), in the cylinder.
• Fit the springs (2 - F. 39) and the
plug bolt (1 - F. 39)
• Tighten the screws (V2 - F. 40) (with
gasket) according to the prescribed
tightening torque.
Tighten:
• Bolt (camshaft pinion) (3 - F. 38).
Check:
• Valve timing.
Out of alignment: adjustment needed.
Check:
• Valve allowance.
Out of specification: adjustment
needed.

Ne pas tourner l'arbre à
cames pendant sa mise en
place, afin d'éviter de provoquer des
dégâts ou d'exécuter un calage
incorrect des soupapes.
• Retenir l'arbre à cames et dans le
même temps, serrer les boulons.
• Enlever le câble en métal de la
chaîne de distribution.
Positionner :
• le disque d'évent (1 - F. 38).
• la rondelle plate (2).
• le tendeur de chaîne de distribution
(3).
Procédure d'installation :
• Enlever le boulon du bouchon du
tendeur (1 - F. 39) et les ressorts (2).
• lâcher la came unidirectionnelle
(3 - F. 40) du tendeur de la chaîne
de distribution et introduire la tige du
tendeur (4 - F. 40) jusqu'au fond.
• installer le tendeur avec un nouveau
joint (5 - F. 40) dans le cylindre.
• installer les ressorts (2 - F. 39) et le
boulon du bouchon (1 - F. 39).
• serrer les vis (V2 - F. 40) (avec un
joint) au couple indiqué.
Serrer :
• le boulon (pignon de l'arbre à cames)
(3 - F. 38).
Contrôler :
• le calage des soupapes.
Hors alignement : procéder au
réglage.
Contrôler :
• le jeu des soupapes.
Hors spécification : procéder au
réglage.
No girar el árbol de levas
durante el montaje para
evitar daños o el reglaje no correcto
de las válvulas.
• Sujetar el árbol de levas y apretar
simultáneamente los bulones.
• Extraer el cable metálico de la
cadena de distribución.
Montar:
• La placa de ventilación (1 - F. 38).
• La arandela plana (2).
• El tensor de la cadena de
distribución (3).
Procedimiento de montaje:
• Extraer el bulón del tapón del tensor
(1 - F. 39) y los muelles (2).
• Soltar la leva unidireccional (3 - F.
40) del tensor de la cadena de
distribución e introducir el vástago
del tensor (4 - F. 40) hasta el tope.
• Montar el tensor con una nueva
guarnición (5 - F. 40) en el cilindro.
• Montar los muelles (2 - F. 39) y el
bulón del tapón (1 - F. 39).
• Apretar los tornillos (V2 - F. 40) (con
guarnición) según el par de apriete
indicado.
Apretar:
• Bulón (piñón árbol de levas)
(3 - F. 38).
Controlar:
• Reglaje de las válvulas.
Si no están alineadas: efectuar el
ajuste.
Controlar:
• El juego de válvulas.
Si
no
corresponde
especificaciones: efectuar el ajuste.
