4 Commissioning the SU1

4.1

Unpacking the machine

Be careful not to damage the unit when unpacking it.
X Tip the unit so that it stands on the adjustable feet.
X Grip the unit by the casing and remove it from the pallet.
Note: To avoid damaging the unit, hold it by the casing, not by the coil when lifting or carrying it!
4.2

Commissioning

X Select the installation location so that the ventilation slots underneath the unit are not obstructed.
X Place the unit on a flat surface and ensure it is stable.
X Grasp the coil handle and move it up and down to ensure it moves freely.
X Connect the power supply (for the connection values see "Technical Data", page 45).
Note: The active cooler (when used with the CU1 cooling unit) must not be connected to the same
fusegear as one of the phases of the generator, since otherwise when both the generator and heat
exchanger motor are running this may trip the fuse!
X Switch the main switch ON
X After the unit is switched on, the programme version number of the control panel is displayed for
5 seconds. This is followed for 5 seconds by the programme version number of the generator. After
this, the unit is ready for use (see also "Operation").

5 Cleaning and servicing

X We recommend that the unit is cleaned at regular intervals.
X De-energise the unit by switching the main switch OFF.
X Clean the outside of the unit with a moist cloth and conventional (solvent-free) cleaning agents.
Note: Do not use compressed air or any cleaning agents within the unit!
Only the manufacturer's service personnel should open the casing or perform repairs!
