Selection of the calibration

and
: call the calibration menu with the buttons
from the main menu.
The following values are specified for the sensor:
A) Lateral angle gauge;
B) Inclination gauge X-axis (water level);
C) Inclination gauge Y-axis (camber measurement);
D) Longitudinal angle gauge.
The displayed numbers are values recorded by every individual
sensor, and depending on whether they are within the tolerance
or not, they are displayed in green or in red.
The values displayed refer to the mechanical values of the
sensors which are not influenced by the compensation or the
calibration.
If one or more sensor values are displayed in red, switch the
sensor off and on again as a trial.
Now, if the new values are displayed in the red field, the calibration
cannot be done; the corresponding icons are disabled, and the
relevant sensor must be replaced or repaired (contact Customer
Service).

Checking the calibration

Select the button for calling the check of the calibration.
The values displayed show the change with respect to
the last zero point calibration that was carried out.
The angle gauges are within the tolerance - green
display - if they are in the range +/- 1'; the inclination
gauges are in the tolerance when they are in the range
+/- 3'. If there are values outside the tolerance range,
then a zero-point calibration should be carried out.

Zero point calibration

Select the button for calling the zero point calibration.
This program step calibrates only the zero point of the
sensor sensor.
The procedure is to be carried out if there are doubts
with regard to the measurements of the wheel align-
ment device or the steering wheel is skew after the
setting in several vehicles.
Before starting the process, ensure that the calibration
stand and sensors are perfectly leveled.
A danger signal indicates that if the calibration is
continued, all the previous values will be replaced.
For continuing work, select the button;
for interrupting it, deselect this button.
The sensor values displayed on the screen are display-
ed in red or green depending on whether they are within
the tolerance or not. Only when the values are stable
and within the tolerance does the icon become active
and allow continuation of the process.
As long as the sensor values are still moving,
they are displayed in yellow. On selecting it, the
calibration values are stored; the process can
be aborted with the ESC key.

Procedure of the calibration

and
for the access to the various calibrations,
these buttons on the main screen should be selected.
The icons for the subsequent calibrations are only displayed
when the measurement values of the sensors level themselves out
and are at rest.
This button is for a calibration of the zero points.
This button is for the calibration of the full-scale values.
The values are saved after the calibrations are comple-
ted. Apart from the data of the user and the remarks on
the work, the key numbers for the equipment used for
the calibration should also be specified.
During the calibration, the LED1 on the button Taste C)
on the sensor blinks (see Fig. 1300 0540/12).

Calibration of the full-scale values
On calling this routine, a screen is displayed with the
prompt to install the mirror - which should be ordered
extra with the calibration stand - on the lateral sides as
shown in the figure.
Prompt for mounting the mirror on the „longitudinal side"
After the installation of the mirrors, a defined angle of deflection
is generated using reverse reflection, which checks the working
area of the CCD sensors.
The button is displayed only after the measured values
that have been received are stable and within the
tolerance.
