Maintenance of the diskette drive
With increasing usage, a gradual dirtying of the diskette drives
cannot be ruled out; during reading, this can result in damage to
the diskettes or to an incorrect acquisition of the saved data.
For this reason, regularly clean the drive using the cleaning
diskette (at least once a month) and always before the installation
of the programs of an updated version.

Wireless version WA 920
The sensors of the wheel alignment devices in the wireless
version can be connected to the central unit both using cables as
well as wirelessly. They are supplied energy by a NiCd battery.
To charge, hang the sensor on the trolley.
Before using for the first time, care must be taken that the sensors
are charged for at least 16 hours. Overcharging is not possible.
From time to time, deliberately discharge the NiCd batteries on
the calibration stand in the connected state.
Nussbaum rejects any and all liability for the use of non-
original batteries and chargers.
The function of the battery charger is indicated by a correspon-
ding LED on the trolley.
For saving energy, the sensors switch themselves off after about
5 minutes. Use the power on switch for powering on again. The
battery charging status is indicated by the LED on the switch; it
blinks when the battery has a remaining capacity of about 10%.
In order that the batteries mounted on the sensors of the wheel
alignment devices should be able to provide the desired energy
and reach their normal life, some recommendations have to be
followed:
1)Before the first operation, hang the sensors in the support on
the device trolley and let a full charging cycle run (at least 16
hours). The end of the cycle is indicated by the yellow LED on
the charger going off.
2)Do not leave the batteries discharged for a long time, in order
to avoid irreparable damage to them.

Troubleshooting
The equipment does not start up on powering on
Supply voltage wrong or failed
- Check the electrical components and if required, wire them
correctly.
Plug connection faulty
- Connect the plug correctly.
PC power supply not switched on
- Switch on the PC- power supply with the corresponding button
on the rear side of the PC
Selection of an incorrect supply voltage
- Set the voltage switch to the correct value, and while doing so,
also check the transformer supply.
Screen powered off
- Set the monitor power switch to ON.
94
Monitor without power
- Replace the monitor fuse.
The display remains stuck on the title page
Taste ESC an der Tastatur drücken.
- Press the „ESC" key of the alphanumeric keyboard.
Keyboard
The keyboard does not accept any inputs (locked)
- Cable of the keyboard has not been properly connected
- Check the cable connection on the computer of the wheel
alignment device.
Fault in the keyboard
- contact Customer Service.
Sensors off
Black box on the screen when there are connected measured
value recorders
- Connecting cable of the sensor is faulty
- Interchange it with one of the remaining three cables; if the fault
gets rectified, replace the relevant connecting cable.
- LED „F Abb. 25" on the operating panel switched off.
- With the LED switched off, all the connections are correct,
check the supply within the wheel alignment device
One or more LED´s light up continuously
- Button on operating panel has a short-circuit
- Press the button of the LED that has gone off several times; if
the fault remains, contact Customer Service.
LED of a key does not light up
- LED faulty.
- Key does not give a contact
- Press the faulty key several times; if the fault remains, contact
Customer Service.
Sensor does not execute any run out compensation
- Sensor too unstable
- Check the stabilization of the vehicle and wait
- ROC-key depression too fast
- Slowly repeat the compensation sequence after switching off
the machine; if the error persists, skip the compensation with
(ROC 0) and ask for Customer Service.
- Data transfer down. Light rays interrupted
- Remove whatever is blocking the measurement ray or align the
sensors.
Steering wheel not straight
Compensation carried out incorrectly
- Repeat the procedure and do not do any steering during the
compensation of the steering wheels.
- Uncompensated sensors
- Carry out a calibration
