10. MALFUNCTIONS
AND FAULTS
PROBLEM
The appliance is not working
and the displays (4 - Fig. 4.1)
are OFF.
Water leakage from the
portafilter (10 - Fig. 4.1).
Coffee dispensing time too
short.
The coffee emerges in drips.
Water leaking under the
appliance.
The appliance is hot, but does
not dispense coffee.
The self-levelling device
continues working.
ATTENTION: If the problem persists, contact the
technical support service.
CAUSE
No electrical power.
There is coffee on the dispensing
group gasket.
Coffee ground too coarsely.
The coffee is too old.
The filter holes are clogged, or the
coffee outlet hole in the portafilter
(10 - Fig. 4.1) is dirty.
Coffee ground too finely.
Clogged drain sump.
Clogged drip tray hole.
Mains tap or water softener tap
closed.
No mains water.
SOLUTION
Make sure the mains supply is turned on.
Make sure the main switch is ON
(1 - Fig. 4.1).
Clean it, using the small brush supplied.
Reduce the spacing between the burrs.
Replace the coffee.
Clean the filter holes or the coffee outlet
hole.
Increase the spacing between the burrs.
Clean the drain sump.
Clean the drip tray hole.
Turn on the taps.
Wait until mains water delivery has
resumed, or contact a technician to resolve
the issue.
