Operation and Installation Manual
Lift and hold the lever.
The load is lowered.
Let go of the lever to brake.
Anchor the lever again after use.
Send the hoist to the manufacturer for testing or repair or
send it to a specialist hoisting gear workshop.

10.5 Moving upwards manually

DANGER!
Risk of falling! Risk of being injured by falling objects!
The centrifugal brake might not brake the load in case of
overloading!
In the event of overloading, never open the operating
brake (spring-loaded brake) manually.
Risk of burns!
Motors can become hot during operation!
Do not touch the motors.
Note:
The handwheel bracket fitting location (5) and the bracket ver-
sion can vary in compliance with the ordering specifications.
See Fig. 14.
Fitting the handwheel:
Remove the plug (3).
Take the handwheel (4) out of the bracket (5).
Fit the handwheel (4) in the motor shaft and then turn it until
the pin latches into the slot in the motor shaft.
Operating with a single operator:
Use one hand to turn the handwheel (4) and simultaneously
use the lever (1) to open the operating brake whilst the
handwheel is being turned.
The operating brake must be closed again before re-
gripping and re-positioning the hand on the handwheel.
Operating with two operators:
Operator 1: Turn the handwheel (4) using both hands.
Operator 2: Use the lever (1) to open the operating brake
whilst operator 1 is turning the handwheel.
The operating brake must be closed again before re-
gripping and re-positioning the hand on the handwheel.
Removing the handwheel:
Pull the handwheel (4) out of the motor shaft and secure it in
the special bracket (5).

Moisture can impair the effectiveness of the brake!
Replace the plug (3) after you have used the handwheel
and check that it is seated correctly.

10.6 Operation using the hand crank

(optional version, see Table 1 on page III)
Hoists for manual emergency operation with hand crank may
only be operated with the hand crank in emergencies (power
failure, rescue).
See Fig. 7.
Abide by the safety instructions given in Chapter
' 0 Operation' on page 18.
Move the hand crank to the operating position
Pull out of the cotter pin (1).
Turn the hand crank (2) and push it onto the holder on the
axle.
The switch (3) is activated when the hand crank is in the
operating position. The power supply is shut off.
Insert the cotter pin (1) into the fixing bolt (4) in front of the
fixing plate (5).
The hand crank is locked in the operating position.
Operation
Pull the lever (6) out of the carrying handle (7).
Insert the lever (1) into the brake bracket through the slot in
the hood of the motor (2).
Lift and hold the lever.
Raise or lower the load by turning the hand crank (2).
Move the hand crank to the idle position
Pull out of the cotter pin (1).
Pull the hand crank (2) out of the holder on the axle.
Insert the cotter pin (1) into the fixing bolt (4) behind the
fixing plate (5).
The hand crank is locked in the idle position.
The power supply is reactivated.
