2.4.2 Battery Enclosure
Whenever the basic backup time, using the internal batteries, is not enough, an external battery
enclosure can be added to the system. The battery enclosure can hold up to two full battery
banks. with batteries of 7 or 9 Ah.
For longer backup times, batteries of greater capacity can be used, mounted on shelves.
2.4.3 Isolation Transformer (optional)
If necessary, transformers are provided for the system galvanic isolation, installed in an external
enclosure (separate from the UPS). This standard transformer has a three-phase/three-phase or
single-phase/single-phase configuration with a 1:1 ratio. This transformer can also be supplied
with different transformation ratios, adapting the mains voltage to the equipment rated voltage.
2.4.4 Auto-Transformer (optional)
If it is just necessary to adjust the mains or load voltage to the UPS rated voltage, autotransformers
can be used. Such autotransformers have a three-phase or single-phase configuration and are
supplied in an external enclosure (separate from the UPS).
2.4.5 Remote Communication Board
The remote communication board allows the monitoring of the UPS.
The monitoring can be performed using a PC via a ModBus-RTU network together with the
dedicated software application (not supplied). Voltage-free contacts are also available (for

2.4.6 Remote EPO Pushbutton
The remote EPO (Emergency Power Off) pushbutton enables the quick and safe shutdown
of the equipment in case of an emergency (for further information, see

2.4.7 Remote Manual Bypass
The Remote Manual Bypass is a safe system that allows, when enabled, to directly connect
the load to the power line, excluding the UPS (for further information, see
Item 2.12.3 Remote

20).
