Preventive Maintenance
7.2 REGULAR MAINTENANCE OF BATTERIES
The battery bank is the vital component for the UPS correct operation.
Refer to the manufacturer's manual for further details on the maintenance procedures and
periods of the battery bank.
In addition, whenever preventive/corrective maintenance is performed on the UPS, it is important
to execute the following checks:
Check the terminal torque of all batteries.
Check the voltage of all batteries.
Check that the battery bank is balanced in relation to the center point.
Check the integrity of the battery pack.
If an abnormality occurs in the battery bank and/or UPS, such as:
Great voltage fluctuations.
Repeated/constant low or high battery alarms.
Batteries with very low voltage (< 9 Vdc).
Swollen batteries.
The UPS must be manually bypassed, and the battery bank must be isolated from the system.
To do that, follow the procedure below:
Access, via display, menu 3.2 and perform the SYSTEM STOP.
