3.2 SWITCH-DISCONNECTORS
The elements required for the system maintenance are located at the rear of the UPS, installed
horizontally and described in order from left to right (see
MAINS INPUT SWITCH (DJE): connects the UPS to the mains.
RESERVE LINE SWITCH (DJER): connects the UPS to the reserve line voltage.
MANUAL BYPASS SWITCH (DJBP): allows the UPS to be completely disconnected,
supplying the critical load with the reserve line voltage. This switch is protected with a small
padlock to prevent unintentional operation.
UPS OUTPUT SWITCH (l4): connects the UPS to the critical load.
In addition to the UPS switch-disconnectors, battery circuit breakers are installed in each
external battery module. When only internal batteries are used, they are protected by fuses.
ATTENTION!
In order to completely isolate the equipment from hazardous voltages, it is also
necessary to open the battery switch, which is not present in the UPS.
Also remember that potentially charged capacitors are present inside the
converter. That means that it will be necessary to wait until the bus voltage is
close to ZERO before accessing the UPS internal parts.
ATTENTION!
The switch in the downward position means the circuit is open. The switch in
the upward position means the circuit is closed.
