8 MODBUS – RTU
The UPSs of the Enterprise New family have communication via MODBUS-RTU protocol via
RS232 or RS485 port. Those ports are located next to the remote communication board. The
RS232 port is accessed via DB9 connector (at the rear of the device), and the RS485 port is
accessed via terminal at the rear of the device.
As default, the settings for this communication are described below:
Port: RS485.
Parity: no parity.
Stop bit: 1.
Speed: 9600 bps*.
NOTE!
For equipment with firmware versions below 7.00, consider a speed of 2400 bps.
Modbus address (ID): 0 (for single device).
For equipment operating in the parallel mode, check the equipment ID on the internal part of
the door or by accessing the display (menu 1 - status and alarms).
In order to change the communication port (RS232/RS485), MODBUS speed and address,
please contact the Service Center.
Below you can see the terminal strip at the rear of the equipment. Positions A+, B- and GND
are responsible for communication via RS485 (MODBUS-RTU).
