5.3 FIBER OPTICS CONNECTION AND COMMUNICATION CHECK BETWEEN
DEVICES
In order to ensure the data transfer between all the units of the system, the optical fibers
must be connected to the devices (as shown below), creating a communication loop. For
better safety and physical protection, it is recommended to physically protect the fibers (e.g.,
conduit, electrical ducts, etc.).
