3.4 INSTRUCTIONS TO ACTIVATE THE SYSTEM IN THE "MANUAL" MODE (DE-
FAULT CONFIGURATION)

1. Close the RESERVE LINE INPUT switch (DJER).
The LCD panel and all UPS logic boards will start their normal operation.
If the voltage parameters of the reserve line are correct, the UPS fans will turn on.
NOTE!
In case of technical problems, if the fans will not switch on, do not proceed
with the UPS activation and contact the Technical Service.
2. Close the UPS OUTPUT switch (DJS).
The load connected to the UPS output will be fed with the voltage supplied by the reserve
line.
3. Close the MAINS LINE INPUT switch (DJE).
Via display, access menu "3 - UPS COMMANDS". then, in menu "3.5 - Manual Command",
press Enter.
In menu "3.5.1 - Start Pre-Charge", press Enter.
Check that the DC link voltage has risen.
Access menu "3.5.3 - PFC Start", press Enter.
Check that the DC link voltage has reached the rated value.
4. Battery connection.
After checking the correct polarity of the batteries, close the panel switch on the battery
cabinet/rack. This switch interconnects the external batteries, if any, and the UPS battery
terminals. Then, remove the mechanical lock and close the battery fuses (FBAT) located in
the UPS. Such fuses interconnect the batteries and UPS circuits. At this point, the equipment
will be charging the batteries, but the load will be being fed by the spare power supply (if
available).
5. Starting the inverter.
Access menu "3.5.5 - Start Inverter", press Enter.
At the end, a green LED will light up on the control panel.
In case of technical problems, the LCD will display the fault message, and the control panel
LED will remain red.
In this situation, do not proceed with the activation and contact the Technical Service.
It is suggested to simulate a short power failure so as to check the correct operation of the
entire UPS/battery system. In order to perform this operation, simply open and then close
the MAINS INPUT switch that feeds the UPS.
