Installation and Operation
3.9 EMERGENCY POWER-OFF (EPO)
The purpose of the emergency stop is to completely switch off the UPS if necessary, with the
immediate shutdown of the static switches of both sources, inverter and reserve line. That
eliminates any presence of electric power at the UPS output, and - as a consequence - on
the critical load.
Obviously, dangerous voltages remain inside the UPS enclosure.
In order to reset the EPO mode, the complete UPS shutdown procedure must be performed.
3.10 BATTERY BANK MANAGEMENT
NOTE!
Only for equipment operating in single mode.
In addition to the battery voltage and current measurements, shown in menu "2. MEASUREMENTS ",
it is also possible to test the battery efficiency without any interruptions in the supply of the critical load.
If the test fails, the message "BATTERY FAULT" will be activated.
In this situation, contact the Service Center.
3.11 PROGRAMMING THE BATTERY TEST
NOTE!
Only for equipment operating in single mode.
The battery test can be performed at any time by selecting menu "3. UPS COMMANDS" and
pressing ENTER on the "START BATTERY TEST" command. This test lasts approximately 50
seconds.
You can also schedule a periodic battery test as follows:
1. On the menu, select option "4. PANEL CONFIGURATION" and press ENTER.
2. Select the "BATTERY TEST CONFIGURATION" option and press ENTER.
3. Using the arrows, select the day of the week to perform the test, the number of weeks
between the tests (from 1 to 52, [--] means no automatic tests) and the time of day to start
the test.
Press ENTER to confirm each selection.
NOTE!
After the completion of each successful UPS activation, a battery test is
automatically performed. In case of technical problems, the system enters the
alarm mode (red LED). In this case, check the battery and rerun the manual
battery test as described above.
