Installation and Operation
Open in sequence the MAINS INPUT switch (DJE), the UPS OUTPUT switch (DJS) and
finally the RESERVE LINE input switch (DJER).
At this moment, the UPS is completely isolated and the load is not fed.
ATTENTION!
Under those conditions, the load is not fed by the reserve line, and inside the UPS
no dangerous voltages are present, except for the compartment (protected by
a metal panel) where the input and output cables are connected, and - for a few
minutes - the inverter DC and AC capacitors (also protected by a metal panel).
3.7 INSTRUCTIONS TO SWITCH THE SYSTEM TO THE MANUAL BYPASS
MODE
For details on the switches, see
1. Switch the load to the reserve line (skip this step if the UPS is set to ENERGY SAVING).
Enter menu "3. UPS COMMANDS ", select and confirm "3.3 SWITCH THE LOAD ". The red
led will light up on the control panel and the acoustic alarm will go off.
From this moment, the load will be directly fed by the reserve line.
2. UPS shutdown.
Enter the menu "3.UPS COMMANDS", select and confirm "3.2 STOP THE SYSTEM". The
automatic shutdown procedure will start and the LCD screen will display the progress.
When the process finishes, the message "System Off" will be displayed and the red LED
will remain lit on the control panel.
3. Disconnecting the battery.
Open the battery switch-disconnector on the battery enclosure.
4. Close the MANUAL BYPASS switch (DJBP).
Remove the padlock (or any other mechanical safety locking device) from the switch and
lift the handle to the ON position.
The acoustic alarm will go off and the LCD will display "Manual Bypass switch closed". The
red led on the control panel will remain lit.
5. Open the switches.
