2.12.1 Remote Communication Board
The remote communication board is used to allow the connection between the UPS and
external devices. The board has a series of dry contact terminals (CN5), which can be used for
alarm monitoring, connection to visual or acoustic alert devices or remote signaling systems.
One or more remote EPO pushbuttons or a remote bypass switch can be connected through
two other contacts (CN1 and CN2). Finally, it is possible to connect the system to a PC via a
DB9 (CN3) connector and use the specific software application for the product maintenance.
