General Information
When the UPS returns to normal conditions, the bypass system automatically switches the load
back to the inverter output. The load is fed through output switch DJS.
2.5.3 Logic and Auxiliary Circuits
All the equipment control logic is performed by the central control board and represents the
"intelligence" of the UPS. It manages the operations of the PFC, inverter and Bypass stages
based on the feedback signals from the power module. The control logic also supervises two
other boards: auxiliary power supply and signal interface.
The interface board receives all the signals, conditions them and send them to the control board.
The control board converts them to the protocols required by the UPS front panel and also
the relay board. The commands selected on the front panel (automatic forced Bypass) and/or
relay board (EPO) are sent from the signal interface to the control logic, which interprets them
and performs the desired operation.
- Such as to turn on/off the inverter or the whole equipment.
The auxiliary power supply provides the proper voltages for all the UPS electronic parts and
boards.
2.5.4 Batteries
The battery pack supplies power to the system when the input power line is out of the permissible
range or not present. In all other cases, the batteries are constantly recharged. Thus, the batteries
are always ready for use when necessary.
2.5.5 Manual Bypass
The manual bypass is useful in situations where it is necessary to disable the UPS and keep
the load powered by the mains (that is, UPS out of operation, fault, maintenance, etc.). It can
be enabled by the manual bypass switch DJBP, located at the rear of the UPS (see
Chapter
3 INSTALLATION AND OPERATION on page
21). Under normal operating conditions, this
switch remains in the rest position, protected by a mechanical lock.
2.5.6 Front Panel
The UPS can be fully managed through the front panel. It is possible to execute the commands,
view states and measurements, and check the alarms. The panel is equipped with a liquid crystal
display (LCD) used to view the UPS operating status, the load and all types of measurements
(see
Chapter 4 CONTROL PANEL on page
33).
