Troubleshooting
6.2 EVENTS LOG
In addition to the general alarms, the UPS has an event log system that stores up to 1000 events
in its memory. The main events recorded are mentioned below.
Mains line unavailable
Battery test failure
Running battery test
Low battery
Critical battery
Battery test OK
Battery test not executed
Inverter OFF
Inverter overload (> 100 %)
Inv overload time exceeded
Enclosure overtemp
Maintenance overdue
Emergency UPS off
Save mode enabled
Bypass switch overload (> 100 %)
Bypass switch overload time exceeded EPO command (local)
Manual bypass switch closed
PFC overload (> 100 %)
PFC overload time exceeded
Incorrect reserve phase sequence
Reserve not available
Transfer to load command
6.3 FAULTS RELATED TO THE LOAD NATURE
The normal behavior of the UPS for specific loads is often incorrectly interpreted by the users
as a UPS failure. The most common situations are described below:
The UPS is left with the critical load powered by the reserve line, even if the inverter subset
is operating correctly. That may occur in case of excessive current peaks at the output. This
behavior causes transient voltage drops, which - if repetitive - cause the load to be switched
to the reserve line.
After three attempts to return the load to the inverter, the system locks the static switch, keeping
the load on the reserve line, protecting the inverter. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate
the load current profile and eliminate the causes of the overcurrents.
NOTE!
It is recommended that the peak of the load current do not exceed its RMS
value three times.
The regulation of the UPS output voltage is not ideal. That may occur in case of an excessively
unbalanced load and/or high harmonic distortion.
