Note on the TIMER switch
Leave the TIMER switch off when you are
not using timer activated play. (for details.
refer to page 92.)
What is this indication?
This indication appears when there is no disc on
the disc tray.

To check the total number of
selections and total playing time
When you press & OPEN/CLOSE to close
the tray, or press TIME/MEMO (or TIME on
the remote commander) in stop mode, the
display shows you the following information.
a) Total number of selections
b) Total playing time
c) Music calendar
If a disc contains more than 20 selections
* m" appears next to 20 on the music calendar
To check the remaining time B
Each time you press TIME/MEMO (or TIME
on the remote commander) during play. the
display changes to give you the following
information.
a) Elapsed playing time
b) Remaining time in a selection
If the current selection number ts over
24, °---—" appears.
c) Remaining number of selections and
total remaining time of the disc
However, "- - - -" appears instead of
the actual time in the following cases.
* If a disc with more than 24 selections
is being played in shuffle play or delete
play mode.
¢ If any one selection, the number of
which 1s greater than 24, has been
programmed.
To change the information display
Each time you press DISPLAY MODE
during play, the display changes to give you
the following information.
The entire display appears.
The play mode, the selection number. the
index number, and the playing time appear
The entire display goes off.
Even if all the information 1s not displayed.
the current status appears for about 1
second when you proceed with any
operation.
