Make sure that you run the on/off cable away from live power cables.
WARNING!

 To prevent short circuits, always disconnect the negative terminal of the ve-
hicle battery before working on the vehicle electrical system.
If the vehicle has an additional battery, its negative terminal must also
be disconnected.
 The cable cross section for the connection between the starter battery, power
relay and consumer battery must not be less than 16 mm² for the ECL-76 and
25 mm² for the ECL-102. Also check that the cable between the negative
terminal of the consumer battery and vehicle chassis is at least 16 mm² and
25 mm² respectively – you might need to replace the cable provided with a
thicker one. The minimum cable cross sections are listed in the following
table.
The table shows the combinations possible of roof air conditioners, charging current dis-
tributors and inverters and the necessary cable cross sections of the access leads:
