12) Removing Propeller Shaft Housing Ass'y

1. Remove propeller shaft ass'y.
Use a plastic hammer to remove the part if it
cannot be removed by inserting a bladed screw
driver.

13) Disassembly of Propeller Shaft Ass'y

1. Put a bladed screw driver into one of clutch pin snap end,
and take the snap 1 out from the clutch groove while
winding it. Then, pull out clutch pin 2, and remove clutch
spring 3 and clutch 4 by referring to the figure.
· Take care not to allow retainer fly out by easing
spring tension gradually.
· Do not reuse removed clutch pin snap.
Check clutch 4, spring 3, retainer 5 and push rod 6 for
2.
crack and wear. Replace if necessary.

14) Inspection of Propeller Shaft

1. Check propeller shaft for bend, wear and damage. Replace if
necessary.
2. Measure propeller shaft runout.
Runout Limit :
0.05 mm (0.0020 in)
