1. Press the "Distance function" button (30) to determine the distance between any
da
two elements that can be selected.
2. Select the elements to be measured one after the other. If necessary, select addi-
tional functions.
After selecting the second element, the distance is calculated.

Example of the function description
The following example explains how to determine the distance between the centre
point of the tool radius and the intersection point of the tool contour with the hori-
zontal.

3. Press the "Radius tool" button (28) to start the "Radius" measurement function.
4. Press the "Distance function" button (30) to start the distance measurement.
Both functions are active.
5. Press the tangential circle of the tool radius marked in green.
it
The tangential circle is shown in red (1).
The centre of the tangential circle is marked with a red cross (2).
6. Press the "Trigonometric function" button (29), first sub-function, to start the
function for measuring an angle to the horizontal.
hr
7. Press the angle marked in green (3).
The vertex of the angle is marked with a red cross (4).
The distance between the two elements is shown as a green line (5).
The value of the distance is output in the measured value window.

Maintenance work
To avoid corrosion, depending on the working envir-
onment, daily grease the tool mounting after use, or
rub a lubricant such as WD-40 into it.
Wipe down the housing with a slightly damp cloth.
The optical components such as the lens and camera
should be kept free of oil, dust and fingerprints. Clean
them with a non-linting cloth to which a little alcohol
has been applied.
Clean the screen with a commercially-available glass
cleaner and a soft cloth.
1. Move the guided units to their respective end posi-
tions.
2. Inspect the guides for the tower and anti-rotation arm
and grease them as necessary.
»
Use multi-purpose grease. Recommendation: LGEP
2/1 from SKF.
Check the calibration and check the guides for play.
Check the electrical components (including the power sup-
ply unit) for conformity to national regulations.
Possible cause
Camera has crashed.

1. Press the "Radius template" button (35) to display a radius with horizontal and
vertical tangent. Radius and orientation are freely selectable.
The "Enter radius" menu opens.
2. Enter the radius and select the desired quadrant (see table). Confirm with "OK".
The radius template is displayed.
3. Move the tool contour to be checked into the radius template.
Angle template
4. Press the "Angle template" button (36) to rotate the cross hair by a defined angle.
The "Enter angle" menu opens.
5. Enter the angle and confirm with "OK".

Maintenance
DANGER
Electrically live components
Risk of fatal electric shock.
»
Maintenance and repair may be performed only by a trained specialist for elec-
tro-technical work.
»
Before starting any maintenance work, switch the unit off and disconnect it from
the power supply, disable it and protect it from being switched on again.
»
Check that the system is electrically dead, earth it and short circuit it.
»
Cover or barrier off any adjoining components that are still live.
»
If any current-carrying components suffer damage, have them repaired immedi-
ately.
